About the Role
The Senior Vice President – Regulatory Services is responsible for the Regulatory Services team. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: the provision of regulatory services to our clients, primarily in FATCA, and CRS, AIFMD and Economic Substance related services. Primary responsibilities include:
- Overall responsibility for the management of FATCA and CRS AIFMD depositary lite and Economic Substance services, including overseeing the onboarding of new mandates, presentation at Board meetings, serving as first point of escalation for direct reports and being available to assist and advise on complex and sensitive client matters;
- Taking a leading role in developing and continuously improving business relationships with clients, preparation of proposals for potential new business and undertaking marketing and business development activities;
- Effective staff management, training and development, including recruitment, planning of resources, monitoring productivity and capacity, performance management, technical presentations and management of employee relationships;
- Identifying and managing risk within the team, driving compliance with processes and ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date and consistently applied
- Overall responsibility for team billings and receivables, and ensuring KPIs are monitored and actioned and
- Responsibility for and participation in various projects, including application of regulatory changes, introduction of new services and procedural and system changes.
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- The successful candidate will be a university graduate, with an excellent academic background, and at least 12 years experience in the finance/investment funds industry with a minimum of 8 years’ hands on experience in the provision of AEOI regulatory services. Experience in both fund accounting and AML/KYC services would be an advantage;
- The candidate must also have excellent technical knowledge of FATCA, CRS, and Economic Substance regulatory requirements, primarily in the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands. Technical knowledge and experience in other jurisdictions would be an advantage;
- Hands on experience in working with account holder due diligence and regulatory reporting requirements for reporting financial institutions under FATCA and CRS is required;
- Prior management of staff, including recruitment, training and performance management, is required;
- Experience in client relationship management, and business development is required;
- The successful applicant will have an excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications, with advanced Excel and data management skills, and experience in the development of technology for management and regulatory reporting;
- In addition, he/she will have strong analytical skills, with the ability to read, interpret and apply regulations and other documentation, as well as identify and apply procedural changes required where regulations are amended in line with specific requirements;
- He/she will have the ability to use initiative, be self motivated and able to work independently, and work well under pressure to complete high volumes of work under tight deadlines;
- This post requires a high degree of attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency, ability to multi-task and excellent organisational, prioritisation and communication skills;
- In addition, the successful candidate will be able to manage team workflows, monitor and manage key performance indicators to ensure department targets are met and be able to demonstrate excellent staff management skills.

- Salary will reflect qualifications and experience and be in the range of US$150,000 - US$180,000 per annum
