About the Role

The Vice President reports to the Senior Vice President(s) and supports the Client Accounting department. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Establishing and maintaining the financial books and records for a portfolio of aircraft leasing and securitization transactions;
  • Assisting the Senior Vice Presidents to manage a team of qualified accountants, ensuring that all obligations for the team are fulfilled (daily, weekly, monthly etc.), including the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports issued to the debt and equity investors;
  • Preparing and/or reviewing management accounts and statutory financial statements;
  • Assisting with the cash management process;
  • Monitoring the obligations of all parties under the transaction documents on an ongoing basis;
  • Preparing and / or reviewing audit files for submission to the auditors and dealing with any queries that may arise during the course of the audit;
  • Ensuring all tax filings, regulatory and ad-hoc reporting is completed in accordance with regulatory and deal requirements;
  • Ongoing liaison with clients' auditors, lawyers, investment managers, other transaction parties and tax advisers;
  • Scheduling audits to ensure all deadlines (CRO, ISE, transaction, tax, CBI) are met;
  • Budgeting, forecasting and on-boarding of new clients as required;
  • Working with other members of the senior management team to develop the business offering.

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with c. 5 years post-qualification experience, ideally gained in aircraft leasing or a corporate administrator. Candidates from a Big 4 background with aircraft leasing and management experience will also be strongly considered;
  • A strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, GAAP and financial and regulatory reporting requirements;
  • Experience in accounts preparation or auditing of companies;
  • Will be expected to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills and have a proven track record of managing a portfolio of clients;
  • Demonstrable people management experience;
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities, strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel;
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines is a must
