The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished Vice President/Senior Account Manager to join our Client Accounting team as part of our financial services business in Grand Cayman.

Your primary responsibilities include:   

 

  • Prepare accounts and financial statements for investment funds, structured finance and insurance type vehicles;
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of accounting and control systems;
  • Operation and administrative tasks on behalf of clients and assisting with coaching the team;
  • Review transaction documents and financial records, prepare complex financial statements within a limited time frame, attend client meetings, prepare new business proposals;
  • Coordinate the client acceptance process and deliver high levels of client service while ensuring that each client relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures;
  • Manage a number of professionals located in several jurisdictions and the review/sign off of high volumes of accounts and financial statements and other client services and demands within very limited time frames;
  • Involvement in ad hoc projects.

 

 

What You Bring

In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences:

 

  • Have an excellent academic background and have an internationally recognized accounting or financial industry designation (e.g. CA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, CAIA or equivalent) and a University degree, preferably in accounting, finance/economics or business administration.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ post qualification experience is required in the onshore and offshore financial industry with a focus on preparing complex financial statements and disclosure notes for structured finance, investment funds and insurance type vehicles as well as previous experience, at a similar level, with an investment bank, investment manager, administrator or audit firm.
  • In depth knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS and demonstrated ability to determine and prepare the required note disclosures is essential;
  • The role will include liaison with senior bankers, lawyers, investment managers and auditors.

  • sound working knowledge of all Windows applications
  • experience with relationship management and client service
  • excellent time management, organizational, prioritization and communication skills, both verbal and written (fluent written and oral English).
  • Overtime at short notice will be required and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and meet strict deadlines is a must.
