The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Compliance Analyst to join our MaplesFS Compliance team as part of our financial services business in Luxembourg.  You will be reporting to our Compliance Officer & RC, Luxembourg.

As part of our team, you will be performing the below key duties (this is not a finite list but identifies key areas):

Key Duties


The role of the Senior Compliance Analyst is a varied and wide-ranging role. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

•    work with Business and Compliance colleagues in Luxembourg to undertake and support reviews of onboarding, customer due diligence and related-know your customer requirements including trigger events and periodic reviews;
•    work with colleagues in Compliance  and the Business to review screening alerts for sanctions, PEPs, adverse media or other related matters; closing out false positive hits and escalating true matches for review where required;
•    work with the Compliance Officer/RC to understand the regulations and rules governing outsourcing to offer support to MFX including understanding what monitoring and testing may need to be undertaken by MFX;
•    assist to develop and help to roll out the Luxembourg Risk Assurance Compliance monitoring and testing programme, working with the Group's Risk Assurance team as required, including drafting  findings and recommendations and liaising with business areas as required; 
•    identify enhancements to testing scripts, 
•    help to track regulatory and Financial Crime  changes to update policies and procedures;
•    support the roll out of the Global Compliance Strategic programme as required, including working on ad hoc project related initiatives;
•    understand MaplesFS’s core systems including NavOne,  to ensure that Compliance coverage is effective and efficient;
•    develop strong skills in Financial Crime and Prudential regulations;
•    learn to undertake transaction monitoring, as may be required for local activity; and
•    alongside the wider team, ensure that Financial Crime and other Compliance risks are identified, assessed, monitored and mitigated.

Requirements
In addition to high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following.
•    Current/previous experience in a similar role preferred
•    Fluent English speaker (English is the language of the firm)    
•    Experience in Financial Services preferred
•    Good communication skills
•    4+/- years, depending on level (more years' experience if no degree)
•    Certifications in financial crime and/or regulatory subjects is of benefit
•    Knowledge of Luxembourg (CSSF) or European Union Financial Crime regulations required
•    Competent in Word and Excel
