The Opportunity
We are looking for an accomplished Assistant Vice President to join our Fiduciary team as part of our financial services business in Hong Kong.
The Assistant Vice President – Fiduciary (“AVP”) reports to the Vice President and Senior Vice President – Fiduciary and supports the Fiduciary team. The AVP is responsible for the management and administration of client portfolios spanning a variety of sectors for which the Maples Group provides fiduciary services such as HK based directorship, trusteeship and process agent services.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- assisting with the client acceptance and compliance process;
- incorporating HongKong companies;
- dealing with daily administrative matters and queries on accounting;
- reviewing transaction documents, corporate secretarial matters and participation in board meetings.
What You Bring
In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences:
- some experience in liaising with investment bankers, lawyers, investment managers, prime brokers, custodians and other transaction parties located in various international jurisdictions, as well as strong drafting and communication skills, are essential;
- will be a university graduate with an excellent academic background and at least 2-3 years’ relevant experience gained in HongKong;
- an understanding of structured finance transactions, experience in reviewing transaction documents and knowledge of corporate governance, relevant HongKong laws and regulatory requirements is a must;
- fluent English is required and additional languages are viewed as beneficial.
