The Opportunity / Who We Seek
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Finance Manager to join our Finance team as part of our financial services business Cayman.
About the Role
The Senior Finance Manager will be primarily in charge of the financial reporting and control of entities under the responsibility of the Cayman finance team.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure strong financial governance by implementing and maintaining effective internal controls, policies, and compliance frameworks.
- Oversee financial operations for multiple legal entities, ensuring consistent and accurate accounting practices.
- Ensure financial deadlines are consistently met in line with regulatory, operational and internal requirements.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, auditors to ensure financial alignment and transparency and support organisational objectives.
- Support strategic decision-making by delivering insightful analysis, risk assessment and recommendations.
- Lead and contribute to key financial and operational projects, including system implementations, business case development, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Implement a robust talent management framework aligned to provide guidance, performance management and professional development
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Assisting with ad-hoc queries and reporting from internal and external stakeholders
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven management skills relating to processes, workflows, training and development of the Finance team, which includes various levels of professionals.
- Highly organized, efficient, and have project management skills in order to lead planned initiatives.
- Responsible for adhering to the finance policies and procedures manuals within the team and will be involved in monitoring of global transfer pricing policies.
- Responsible for oversight and reinforcement of an effective risk and control framework within the finance department
- Completed an internationally recognized accounting designation (e.g. CPA, ACA, ACMA or ACCA).
- A minimum of 10 years’ post-qualified experience and at least 4 years’ audit experience, preferably in the Big 4.
- Held a similar managerial role at an equivalent level for at least 5 year(s) would be an asset
- A self-starter with the ability to independently and pro-actively manage upcoming deliverables.
- Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards.
- Familiarity with transfer pricing models will be an asset for this role.
- Strong communication, leadership, professional judgement and interpersonal skills.
