The Opportunity
We are looking for an accomplished Analyst to join our AML team as part of our financial services business in the Cayman Islands.
The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Cayman team you will:
- Assist in the review and analysis of documentation provided by customers of investment funds in ensuring they meet specific customer due diligence requirements for anti-money laundering purposes;
- Collect and review documentation to meet customer due diligence requirements;
- Update systems with relevant data;
- Assist with client-related administrative functions;
- Liaise with other members of the team, clients, investors, investment managers, law firms and other third parties in various international jurisdictions.
What You Bring
In addition to a commitment to delivering superior candidate and stakeholder experiences:
- A university graduate with an excellent academic background in Business, Accounting, Finance, Law, or a related field;
- Preference will be given to candidates having worked in the financial services industry in a similar role with two years' relevant experience in investor services or customer acceptance/due diligence;
- Very strong analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret documentation in line with specific requirements;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft applications – in particular, the use of Excel to manage large sets of data;
- The ability to use initiative, be self-motivated and able to work independently, and work well under pressure to complete high volumes of work with very tight deadlines.
