The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished Vice President to join our Company Secretarial team as part of our financial services business in Grand Cayman.

The Cayman Islands is home to our global headquarters and where the Maples Group first established operations in the 1960s. Since then we have grown to become one of the largest employers in Cayman, where colleagues from all over the world collaborate to deliver best-in-class solutions to clients worldwide. As part of our Cayman team you will:

 

  • Organising and attending board meetings, preparing detailed minutes of board meetings to a very high standard and arranging the execution of documentation;
  • Ensuring clients are adhering to the relevant corporate governance requirements of Irish regulated entities and addressing these at each board meeting;
  • Managing and overseeing junior members of the team to ensure that specific deadlines are being met;
  • Deliver a high level of client service while ensuring that each client relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures;
  • Responsible for internal financial reporting requirements to internal stakeholders;
  • Drafting and circulating proposal documents to potential clients and attending pitch calls as required;
  • Foster relationships internally to ensure a 'Maples Group' service to clients;
  • Reviewing corporate requests and transaction documents;
  • Assisting with KYC compliance; and
  • Ongoing liaison with lawyers, investment managers and directors of hedge funds and managing team professionals.

 

What You Bring

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

 

  • A University graduate with an excellent academic background or have at least 5/6 years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Previous minute taking experience and knowledge of Irish regulatory governance is essential;
  • 2/3 years' experience coaching team members and proven leadership skills is essential;
  • A legal background or company secretarial qualification is essential.
