The Opportunity

We are looking for an accomplished Senior Manager join our Group Risk team as part of both our financial and legal services business in the Cayman Islands.

 

The Senior Manager, Cyber Security Risk and Governance who reports to CISO is primarily responsible for demonstrating value and further maturing of the Maples Group enterprise risk management (“ERM”) and cyber security risk programmes. This role will involve significant engagement with a diverse group of colleagues across all Maples Group business lines and supports a range of collaborative initiatives for attaining business objectives and growth. As part of our Cayman team, you will:

 

  • Manage and lead team of professionals (both direct reports and multi-department cross functional teams) to aid in achieving Maples Group objectives.
  • Navigate complex organizational environments, situations, and relationships.
  • Support and challenge colleagues of all levels of seniority.
  • Represent Group Risk and Cyber Security in internal committees and Maples Boards.
  • Expert ability to distill issues down for diverse set of stakeholders (e.g., accountants, lawyers, Privacy, IT technical teams, Information Security teams, Internal Audit).

 

What You Bring

 

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:

  • A minimum of 15 years’ post-qualified experience including audit or consulting experience, preferably in the Big 4 and/or relevant experience in governance, risk management, compliance (“GRC”), controls, and assurance, preferably in a highly matrixed environment within a complex legal service or financial services firm (e.g., fiduciary, fund administration).
  • Required: Bachelor in Business Administration.
  • Required: Completed an internationally recognized accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACA, ACMA, CA, or ACCA) and a cyber security designation (e.g., CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CRISC).
  • Preferred: Completed ISO/IEC 27001:2022 ISMS Lead Auditor certification.
  • Preferred: CFE designation (or equivalent) accompanied by relevant experience in forensic investigations.
  • Preferred: CIA designation (or equivalent) accompanied by relevant experience carrying out internal audits.
