About the Role
This role will be part of the Maples Group, reporting to the local HR Business Partner.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Support Line Managers in regards to HR requirements and coaching on performance management and other talent issues.
- Support HR Business Partners in partnership with other HR teams such as HR Shared Services in the delivery of Maples’ annual talent practices, HR processes and other key HR strategic initiatives (i.e. year-end process, engagement surveys, etc.).
- Communications – Town Halls, Meetings, SLT briefings – content creation following data and reporting provided by HR Operations. Facilitate local HR communications.
- Engagement – Creation of survey packs by country, action planning, committee actions and delivery.
- Locations events and global programmes – Manage and or coordinate local HR activities/initiatives of careers weeks, health and wellness week, monthly local events, etc.
- Employee relations – Return to work meetings, complicated leave requests.
- Performance process – Local oversight of the goal setting and feedback process, acting as escalation point for HR Ops in the event managers have not signed off their forms etc. and various tracking activities that occur.
- Local research – Local legislation, market trends, and any other ad hoc requests from the BPs to support the business.
- Anticipate, identify and address issues and potential problems that may have an impact on organisational objectives and the employee experience
Requirements
The ideal candidate should:
- A Degree in Human Resources or equivalent
- 3-4 years of HR Generalist experience handling most, if not all, HR areas
Key skills for this role are as follows:
- Self-starter and able to cope to a high learning curve;
- Able to pleasantly engage with employees but still be firm in governing HR policies and guidelines;
- Resourceful and able to propose resolutions for various problems and challenges for the hr team and the business;
- Able to manage situations in ambiguous environments;
- Must have a sense of urgency and absolute client focus in resolving any issues raised;
- Able to manage risk and know when to escalate;
- Organized and able to follow through on all projects or tasks;
- Be a team player
