The Opportunity / Who We Seek 

We are looking for an accomplished Vice President – Corporate Services to join our team as part of our financial services business in Bermuda. 

 

This role will be part of the Maples Group Bermuda, and will assist the Senior Vice President, with primary responsibility for the administration of a varied portfolio of companies, LLCs and partnerships in accordance with Bermuda law and company policies and procedures.

 

As part of our Bermuda team responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  

  • preparing and reviewing documentation relating to the corporate administration of companies, LLCs and partnerships;
  • conducting new entity formations; 
  • delivering high levels of client service, while ensuring that each client relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures;
  • ensuring compliance with AML/ATF legislation and requirements and maintaining client’s KYC;
  • preparing, filing and/or obtaining all authorisations, consents, approvals, licenses, validations or exemptions that are required by Bermuda law from any governmental authorities, agencies or regulator in Bermuda with respect to their portfolio of companies, LLCs and partnerships; 
  • working with the Senior Vice President on strategic business development initiatives;
  • ensuring that physical and electronic minute books are correctly maintained and all relevant documentation is accurately filed in accordance with policies and procedures.

  

What You Bring 

In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following: 

  

  • be a university graduate with an excellent academic background
  • be an Associate or Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (previously known as the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA)); and 
  • have a minimum of 8 years' experience in the corporate services industry.

 

Other skills required for this role include experience and knowledge of Bermuda companies and partnership laws, corporate governance, regulatory requirements together with strong drafting, communication and presentation skills. An understanding of investment funds and related securities and/or trust administration would be an asset.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
