The Opportunity
The Manager - Client Accounting reports to the Vice President and/ or Assistant Vice President-Client Accounting and ultimately to the Senior Vice President Fiduciary. Its tactical responsibilities feed one larger objective: Serve as a manager for a diverse portfolio of Investment entities and Special Purpose Vehicles ("SPVs") including companies, LLCS, partnerships, trusts, private equity funds, hedge funds etc.
Primary responsibilities include:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for independently undertaking a high volume of routine accounting mandates as directed by the Vice President and Assistant Vice President.
- Portfolio may consist of a variety of investment entities and Special Purpose Vehicles ("SPVs") including companies, LLCS, partnerships, trusts, asset finance, asset-backed securitisation vehicles, private equity funds, hedge funds etc.
- Prepare management accounts and financial statements, ensuring regulatory and statutory compliance, including any ad-hoc reporting in accordance with deal requirements
- Provide bank account operation services as per clients’ request.
- Deliver high levels of client service, while ensuring that each relationship is compliant with internal policies and procedures;
- Other duties include ongoing liaison with the company's auditors, lawyers, investment managers, directors, tax advisors, fund administrators and other transaction parties.
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- Completed/will hold a professional accountancy qualification i.e. CPA/ACA/ACCA/CIMA or any other relevant qualification and have at least 2 to 5 years’ relevant experience gained in audit and/or accounting; relevant experience with professional firm is an asset;
- Hold a strong knowledge of SFRS and/or IFRS.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in English and fluency in Mandarin/Chinese is an advantage
- Demonstrate excellent analytical and problem solving abilities;
- Capable to take decisions and ensure smooth collaborations with external parties;
- Capable to meet and coordinate strict deadlines;
