About the Role
Reporting to the Business Development Executive, the Business Development Administrator works within the global law firm's Business Development & Marketing team to provide administrative assistance to the team of business development professionals supporting the practice groups.
The Business Development & Marketing team brings together practice group expertise to maintain, grow and support client relationships and law firm referral relationships.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Processing expense claims and monitoring budgets
- Supporting the planning and execution of overseas business development trips
- Co-ordinating attendance at industry conferences and events
- Maintaining and logging data in the firm's Client Relationship Management ("CRM") database
- Assisting with competitor, industry and event research
- Supporting the preparation of submissions for awards and legal directories
- Assisting with the preparation of credential statements, pitches and other materials
EXPERIENCE
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally gained from a professional services firm, coupled with a degree in Marketing, Business Management or a related field
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are essential
- Candidates should be highly organised and detail focused with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
- Candidates should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, being able to work on their own initiative as necessary
- Self-motivated, pro-active and driven to improve at all times
- The successful candidate must be proficient in MS applications including, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Previous experience using a client relationship management system would be advantageous
