About the Role
A consultant in the Irish Team within our Funds and Investment Management team provides expert Irish legal advice on every aspect of the life cycle of Irish domiciled investment funds including set up, management and investment across a broad range of fund structures and management entities. Maintaining our reputation for excellence, the successful candidate will be commercially astute, demonstrate excellent technical skills and be committed to building and developing a successful practice within a collaborative and dynamic team.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Providing technically accurate and complex advice to clients on a wide range of matters, with a particular focus on providing legal advice on formation, ongoing Irish legal and regulatory compliance, restructuring and termination of different types of Irish domiciled investment vehicles, including hedge funds, hybrid funds and private equity funds
- Preparing and reviewing fund agreements and other fund and corporate documents
- Adhering to the highest standards of ethics and professionalism
EXPERIENCE
What You Bring
The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, a strong work ethic and a commitment to building a legal career in funds. The ideal candidate will also have the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues and work well within a team environment. The candidate's qualifications and experience will also include:
- At least 7 years' post qualification experience with a leading law firm in a major onshore or offshore jurisdiction in Irish law
- Significant experience in providing legal services to Irish domiciled investment funds, investment managers, investors and / or providers of fund financing
- A strong academic background, with excellent written communication and drafting skills
- Practice management and business development skills or experience
- Excellent technical knowledge and a strong commercial awareness
