About the Role 
The HR Administrator provides proactive administrative and operational support to Cayman and BVI, ensuring the efficient delivery of HR Services and compliance with firm policies, immigration, and regulatory requirements.  This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate HR data, coordinating onboarding and offboarding, administering benefits, and supporting immigration and employee relations processes.
 
This position requires strong organisational skills, confidentiality, and professionalism, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and to provide exceptional internal service to all employees and stakeholders. Main responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
 
  • Deliver day-to-day HR administrative support, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Maintain employee records and HR systems, in line with data protection requirements and firm standards
  • Prepare HR documentation including offer letters, contracts, change of term letters, and employment verification letters
  • Monitor the HR shared inbox and systems, ensuring timely, professional, and solution-focused responses
  • Coordinate all new hire logistics, including offer letters and contract preparation, background checks, orientation and system set-ups
  • Support relocation support where required (e.g. flights, hotels, car rentals)
  • Administer leaver processes, including resignation acceptance, system updates, and exit documentation
  • Support the administration of remuneration, benefits, and pensions, in collaboration with Accounts and HR Business Partners
  • Support with monthly payroll tracking and reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and statutory requirements
  • Liaise with benefit providers to resolve employee queries and maintain up-to-date records
  • Support with the preparation and submission of work permit, permanent resident and related immigration documentation
  • Liaise with WORC and other regulatory bodies as required, ensuring compliance and accurate record keeping
  • Maintain tracking for permits, expirations, and related renewals
  • Support HR initiatives, performance management cycles, and compensation benchmarking
  • Aid with year-end processes, firm events, and other HR projects as required
  • Conduct market research and maintain salary data to inform HR planning and Business Staffing Plan submissions
  • Provide support for special HR initiatives (e.g. annual Hurricane Evacuation Programme, Business Staffing Plan reporting, diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement projects 
EXPERIENCE 
 
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
 
  • Minimum of an Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 2+ years of HR generalist experience, ideally in a legal or professional services environment
  • Immigration experience would be an asset
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail with proven accuracy and consistency under tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g. Workday, or equivalent)
  • Ability to work under pressure and to accommodate tight deadlines with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
  • Collaborative team player with initiative and commitment to continuous improvement
