About the Role
As part of a team of analysts the Finance Systems Analyst will provide operational 3rd line support and on-going development of the global Financial Applications Systems and the surrounding interfaces.
They will be contributing to a very accelerated program of work to implement the latest Aderant modules and features, and developing third party supporting bespoke applications and those from other vendors.
Specifically the Finance Systems Analyst will contribute towards this development of the company's Financial systems products according to supplied design and direction, while developing their own skills for further advancement.
They will develop, test and document modules conforming to analysis and design specification in accordance with company policies and procedures. They will also design and develop database and application programming in the technologies used by the team.
In addition, they will respond to assigned enhancement and bug fix requests; troubleshoot, develop, test, and document as necessary in accordance with existing procedures. They will work under deadlines, contribute towards projects, communicate, and operate effectively in a team environment.
As part of this role they will be involved in forward planning future upgrades, developing and testing new product releases and proactively identifying and rectifying inherent product inefficiencies and areas of service risk.

Our internal clients expect prompt and professional service and this is a demanding role that requires someone able to debug and resolve issues with existing systems, to deliver excellent customer service and provide end-to-end ownership of issues escalated by the IT Service Desk to a successful resolution.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborate with your team to define and estimate user stories and tasks
- Deliver clean, maintainable and scalable solutions
- Follow best practices in clean code, unit testing and adhere to the CI and CD pipeline processes
- Conform to secure coding standards
- Assist with any other duties/projects that may be assigned from time to time
- Monitors and responds to support requests/issues escalated to third line
- Accountable for meeting core service related KPIs and metrics
- Proactively identifies system enhancements that will maintain reliability and improve performance
- Identifies priority support cases and communicates timelines to the business
- Diagnose and resolve software defects and escalate issues when required
- Reduce escalation of issues through documentation and knowledge handover
- Creates knowledge-based articles documenting resolutions to problems
- Ensure customer service levels and expectations are met
- Works with the Product Operations team to manage escalated tickets through to a successful resolution
EXPERIENCE
What You Bring
In addition to indisputably high ethical standards and autonomy, the ideal candidate possesses the following:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Technical mindset with strong knowledge of the specific applications, particularly Aderant, Concur and a reporting tools
- 3+ years of Aderant Expert: Expert Classic (including Generic Importer/Scheduler, Alerts, Docudraft & Reports) and all components comprising the Aderant Framework; including but not limited to Expert Time, Expert Rates, Security Manager and Expert Administration
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Able to demonstrate exceptional customer service and interact in a professional manner with various functions and levels within the Organisation
- Demonstratable ERP experience – migration / transformational to cloud systems a definite plus
- A knowledge of development methods. SQL and C# at a high level of competency
- Expertise in Web and RESTful API consumption and integration
- Expertise in database data design, querying and reporting using SQL
- Expertise in Agile methodologies
- The ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision while preserving strict confidentiality of all information
- Knowledge of task management in Azure Dev Ops
- Experience using source/version control software
- Knowledge of Credit Force software
- Knowledge of SAP Concur
- Knowledge of cloud services, preferably Azure
- Background in accountancy with appropriate qualifications (ACCA/CPA)
