A seasoned and innovative Cybersecurity Researcher to join our world-class security team. We're seeking someone who is passionate about protecting consumers from evolving digital threats, excels at uncovering sophisticated attack vectors, and thrives on translating cutting-edge research into real-world security solutions. As a Cybersecurity Researcher, you'll be at the forefront of threat intelligence, conducting critical research that directly strengthens our Malwarebytes consumer security products and helps safeguard millions of users worldwide from web-based attacks and emerging cyber threats
 
What You’ll Do: 
  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis of threats targeting consumers. 
  • Investigate, analyse, and expand Malwarebytes security, by exploring real in-the-wild data and threats, developing protection strategies. 
  • Drive the integration of research findings into product features, ensuring enhanced security capabilities. Collaborate with product teams to prioritize security features based on threat landscape analysis 
  • Stay ahead of the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain expertise in the field. 
  • Work closely with our team of security analysts and engineers to innovate in the field of consumer cyber security. 
  
Skills You’ll Need to Have:  
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience in a security research team. 
  • 5+ years of Experience in pen-testing, threat hunting, and vulnerability research. 
  • Experience with threat intelligence, malware analysis or web research, reverse engineering, and staying current with emerging threats and attack vectors. 
  • Ability to conduct independent security research and document findings and recommendations clearly. 
  • Self-motivated, with a passion for continuous learning and professional development. 
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python/JavaScript/C/C++/Go for developing security tools and proof-of-concept exploits.  
 
Skills We’d Like You to Have: 
  • Industry recognized author of security research papers, blogs, or conferences talks. 
  • Deep understanding of web protocols, web frameworks, APIs and client-side technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Knowledge of server-side technologies and database systems. 
  • Active participation in security communities, CTFs, or bug bounty programs. 
  • Emerging technologies security like AI & LLM threats, identity-based attacks. 
  • Privacy oriented mindset.
