Medical Associates Clinic, located in Dubuque, Iowa, is seeking a Licensed Master’s level Therapist (General or Pediatric focused) to join our well-established, thriving multidisciplinary practice in the Department of Psychiatry & Psychology! Come join 3 licensed therapists, 8 psychologists, 3 psychiatrists, and 4 APPs!
Role:
As a Mental Health Therapist, you will have a general or pediatric focused practice that will assess client's needs, abilities or behavior using a variety of methods. Devise and monitor appropriate programs of treatment, including therapy, counseling, or advice in collaboration with colleagues. We are open to explore your practice scope preference (children and adolescents, adult, group, etc.)
Responsibilities Include:
- Provide outpatient therapeutic services, including diagnostic assessment and therapeutic intervention. Additional roles may include therapy addressing relationship or family concerns, and/or group therapy.
- Complete documentation timely and in accordance with clinical and accreditation standards.
- Consult with outpatient providers, within and outside the department of Psychiatry and
- Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri daytime hours. No nights, no weekends!
Compensation:
- $34-$40/hr based on years of experience
- $5,000 sign-on bonus

- Provide outpatient therapeutic services in an ethical manner based on current standards of care, within the scope of one’s competence.

- Respond to telephone calls in a prompt, professional and complete manner.
- Follow Clinic policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualifications:
Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Counseling, or related field. Licensure as an independent (post-2-year supervision period) social worker, Mental Health Counselor or Marriage & Family therapist in the State of Iowa required (LMHC, LISW, LMFT). Iowa license required.
Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience.
Interpersonal Skills: The ability to motivate or influence others is a material part of the job, requiring a significant level of diplomacy and trust. Obtaining cooperation (internally and/or externally) is an important part of the job.
Physical Aspects:
Reaching - Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Lifting - Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Fingering - Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Grasping - Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.

Hearing - Perceiving the nature of sound with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make fine discriminations in sound, such as when making fine adjustments on machined parts.
Vision - 20 / 40 or better in the best eye with or without correction.
Repetitive Motions - Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
