Position at MacAllister Rentals

Objective

Position duties include but are not limited to: continuously sell and rent equipment from MacAllister’s rental store fleet by calling on customers, offices and job sites.

Responsibilities

  • Calling on customers, following up with customers and work through and with peer group to call on offices and job sites to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Develop existing accounts and continuously prospect for new customers in order to achieve established goals and objectives
  • Educate customers on our products and why MacAllister is the best equipment company in this market

 

  • Set up rentals and sales and negotiate pricing
  • Track new construction projects and follow up with contractors
  • Completing all necessary paperwork involved
  • Staying organized and turning in all call reports and paperwork
  • Other related duties and projects assigned by management

 

  • Pass sales leads to appropriate sales representative
  • Safety
  • Do not violate any safety rule or policy.
  • Enforce all personal protective equipment rules and regulations.
  • Ensure all safety rules and policies are enforced.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education; college degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years in the equipment
  • sales/rental industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Moderate computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office. Moderate experience using data base systems.
  • A strong knowledge of the product and a good knowledge of the product market with a strong respect for the Caterpillar influence.
  • The ability to uphold professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance and friendly, courteous treatment of peers, subordinates and customers.
  • Enjoys thinking outside of the box, being innovative and willing to go the extra mile to close sales
  • A self-starter and motivator for the department
