Senior HR Business Leader
Location: Byron Center, Michigan

Position Summary
Join our dynamic team at MacAllister Machinery as an HR Business Leader for our Rental Services division. Based in Byron Center, Michigan, you will play a crucial role in guiding the daily operations and supporting our Human Resource Business Leaders (HRBL) team with employee relations, performance, and policy issues. You'll work closely with the Regional HR Manager – Employee & Labor Relations and the Sr. Vice President of Rental Services to ensure timely and effective handling of employee relations and policy concerns.
 
What You'll Do
  • Guidance & Support: Provide expert advice to leaders on issues like harassment, discrimination, wage concerns, leave of absence, and disciplinary actions.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to CBA’s, corporate policies, and all state, local, and federal guidelines.
  • Resourceful Leadership: Act as a daily resource for the HRBL team, promoting consistency in HR support across the Rental Services division.
  • Collaborative Partnering: Work with divisional leadership to address people issues, business structure, and performance.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of HR legal requirements to reduce risks and ensure compliance.
  • Training & Development: Partner with the training team to develop and deliver HR training and coaching for management.
  • Project Facilitation: Lead HR projects and initiatives that align with organizational strategy.
  • Employee Relations: Foster improved work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervise HR Business Leaders supporting the Rental Services division.
 
What We’re Looking For
Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, Finance, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • 3-5 years of HR leadership experience
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Experience working in a unionized environment, including knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and union relations
Preferred:
  • Master’s Degree in a business-related field
  • 10+ years of HR experience
  • 5+ years of HR leadership experience
  • SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, or SPHR credential
