Classic/Race Car Mechanic
Description
Position Summary
Maintain and run classic road and race cars ranging from years' 1910 through 1970 supporting outside of MacAllister business.
Position is responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from maintaining, repairing, and restoring vintage race cars, motorcycles, and trucks.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
- Maintain, Repair, and Prepare 11-12 Historic Race cars for use at 5-7 events annually.
- Support race cars at race events in the US and overseas.
- Support Classic cars on road rallies as needed.
- Restore, repair, and Maintain 100 plus motorcycles.
- Restore, repair, and maintain 10-12 classic trucks.
- Maintain 60 plus Vintage cars in collection.
- Maintain and repair and clean all Classic seasonal driving cars.
- Clean and check all everyday road cars.
- Maintain workshop in a clean and tidy Manner.
- Fabricate parts as needed.
- Machine parts as needed.
Position Requirements
- 10 years of experience working on Automobiles.
- Experience in racing at a high level
- Classic/vintage car repair experience
- High school diploma or equivalent

- Basic machining skills.
- Basic fabrication skills.
- Basic composite skills.
- Work with others as a team.
- Have good communication skills.
- Be self-motivated.
- Be able to work on one’s own.
- Be professional and presentable when representing the company.
- To always work to a precise and high standard.
- To be forward thinking and conscientious.
- Be able to make decisions.
- Work in a clean and tidy manner and keep the workshop clean and organized at all times.
- Be able to supply all tools required to carry out the work required for this position.
- Occasional overnight travel
