Jedi Academy: StageCraft Virtual Production Trainee - Expression of Interest
Join our Jedi Academy as a StageCraft Trainee and learn key virtual production skills from our team of experienced artists and technologists. This paid, trainee role will offer an invaluable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with our innovative StageCraft technology while working on live episodic and film projects in Los Angeles.
ILM StageCraft is an end-to-end virtual production solution that provides a continuous pipeline from initial exploration, scouting, and art direction, through production design via the virtual art department, traditional and technical previsualization, lighting, and of course, production filming itself, with the innovative StageCraft LED volumes. We are looking for apprentices to support all facets of these end-to-end services.
Lucasfilm’s hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian leveraged the entire spectrum of StageCraft’s virtual production services and toolkit. As a StageCraft Trainee, you may be working on similar scale projects.
The StageCraft Trainee program will offer specific training paths aligned to key areas of our StageCraft services designed to prepare Trainees for a full-time role with our studio. Details for the training paths are still being finalized but will include production, artistic, and technical roles. Apply now to register your interest and we will update you in the coming weeks with more specifics. Send us your resume (and reel if you have one) along with a cover letter telling us why you are interested in the StageCraft Trainee program and which path (production, artistic, technical) is best for you.
