LSSI is hiring a full-time Custodian, Monday through Friday 8am - 4pm. Under direction of Maintenance Manager provides direct building custodial and light maintenance for all facets of physical plant and grounds in accordance with health and safety requirements of LSSI/HUD.

Essential Functions:
- Keeps the exterior and interior common and mechanical areas clean, sanitized, and in orderly condition by performing all daily housekeeping duties.
- Follow all standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
- Performs light maintenance and assistance with turnover apartments as needed.
- Responds promptly to emergencies.
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent or 6 months or more experience of maintenance related experience.
- Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex and/or varied tasks, relate to others, make decisions, direct/control plan work, communicate in writing and verbally.
- Willingness and ability to participate/obtain HUD, LSSI, OSHA, NSPIRE/REAC, etc. related training.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing.
- Access to an insured vehicle with required and valid IL statutory minimum insurance coverage.
