LSSI is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician. Responsible for maintaining all facets of physical plant and grounds in accordance with health and safety requirements at designated facilities.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform routine maintenance, janitorial duties and repair of buildings and grounds.
  • Report needs for major repairs as required by LSSI / CILA.
  • Follow all standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
  • Assist in implementation of preventative maintenance program.
  • Assist in resident apartment or room turnover preparations.
  • Document work orders thru software-based reporting system and complete other reporting functions as in compliance with LSSI and/or funding source requirements.
  • Willingness to guide and support DD staff in emergency situations, if available, either by phone or in person.
  • Perform other related tasks as necessary or assigned.
Position Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Trade or technical school training preferred.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years maintenance experience preferred.
  • HUD, OSHA, REAC, and ECT or related training preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written.
  • Good organization and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
  • Access to reliable transportation required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
