LSSI is hiring a full-time Maintenance Lead. Under direction of the Property Manager and Directors maintains all facets of physical plant and grounds in accordance with health and safety requirements of LSSI / HUD with on-call duties as assigned.
  
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

Essential Functions:   
  • Oversee and may perform routine maintenance, janitorial duties and repair of buildings and grounds.
  • Report needs for major repairs, complete specifications, and capital documentation as required by LSSI/HUD.
  • Follow all standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
  • Development and implementation of preventative maintenance program.
  • Ensure prompt resident apartment turn over preparations.
  • Perform on-call services, as scheduled, and respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Provide direct supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation for assigned staff.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:   
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required or 3-5 years’ experience in general and/or residential maintenance required.
  • Trade school or technical training preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to participate/obtain HUD, LSSI, OSHA, NSPIRE/REAC, etc. related training required.
  • One (1) to three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, verbally and written.
  • Good organization and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office
  • (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
  • Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required. 
  • Access to an insured vehicle with required and valid IL statutory minimum insurance coverage.
  • Access to reliable transportation required.
  • Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury and property damage required.
