LSSI is hiring a full-time Counselor Case Manager for Substance Use/Addiction. Responsible for providing individual, group, and family counseling services for adults experiencing SUDs and substance related issues in a clinical, culturally sensitive, and trauma informed manner in LSSI’s Kenmore Outpatient substance use treatment program.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide a continuum of counseling and psychoeducation services to clients with alcohol/drug co-occurring or gambling related conditions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate group and individual counseling sessions (ASAM Levels 0.5, 1, 2.1, continuing care), DUI, and psychoeducation.
  • Provide case management services, including assessment, evaluations, treatment planning, continuing care, and monitoring progress of clients' response to treatment.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed accurately, in a timely manner and in compliance with state, federal, and agency standards.
  • Collaborate with team members, other LSSI programs, and external partners in order to provide quality, whole-person care and services to clients.
  • Meet productivity requirements identified by LSSI.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards of treatment, including NASW Code of Ethics.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor's or master's degree preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in substance use field preferred.
  • LSW, LPC, LCSW, or CADS required, or must obtain within two (2) years of hire date.
  • Annual TB test required.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Knowledge and experience using DSM-5 and ASAM criteria to make accurate diagnosis of substance use disorders and treatment/intervention recommendations required.
  • Demonstrated ability to record and proofread information on forms and charts required.
  • Trained and proficient in the use of an electronic health care record preferred.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
