Lutheran Social Services of Illinois is a not-for-profit social service agency with more than 70 program sites throughout the state of Illinois. Our services include counseling, mental health, substance abuse treatment, housing, work with prisoners and their families and services for older adults and a variety of services for children including preschool, foster care, and adoption.
LSSI is hiring a full-time Clinical Director. Supervise the daily operations and delivery of substance use services in a Residential Rehabilitation Program and provide supportive oversight to the Healthy Start Recovery Home Program. Provide direct supervision to staff in both programs. Ensure compliance with various regulatory and funding entities. Ensure productivity, census, and outcome measure are met.

Essential Functions:
  • Provide direct supervision, training, and support to Residential Rehab. and Recovery Home staff, including Counselors, Case Aides, Housekeepers, and others.
  • Oversee Curriculum delivery to clients and the scheduling of clinical services in the Residential Rehab. program.
  • Meet reporting, productivity, and service deliverable requirements identified by LSSI, SUPR, and funding bodies. Collaborate with other LSSI programs/departments, including Central Intake and Development, as needed.
  • Review both written and EHR documentation to ensure compliance with SUPR and Part 2060.
  • Ensure adherence to ethical standards of treatment, including NASW Code of Ethics.
Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social service field is required.
  • Master’s degree in a social service field is preferred.
  • CADC or the ability to obtain a CADC within 18 months of hire is required.
  • LPC/LCPC or LSW/LCSW is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in substance use field with increasing levels of responsibility preferred.
  • Proficiency in EHR documentation and review.
  • Familiarity with accreditation and licensure standards.
  • Access to reliable transportation. Occasional driving may be required.
  • Valid Illinois Drivers’ License in good standing for the state of residency and insurance. Valid Illinois statutory and liability insurance coverage is required.
