LSSI is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician, Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. Under direction of Maintenance Manager provides direct building maintenance and cleaning for all facets of physical plant and grounds in accordance with health and safety requirements of LSSI/HUD with on-call duties as assigned.

Essential Functions:
- Perform routine maintenance, janitorial duties and repair of buildings and grounds.
- Report needs for major repairs as required by LSSI/HUD.
- Follow all standards regarding safety, licensing, regulatory and agency requirements.
- Assist in implementation of preventative maintenance program.
- Assist in resident apartment or room turnover preparations.
Position Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 6 months or more experience or maintenance related experience.
- Light maintenance experience or handy man related experience.
- Willingness and ability to participate/obtain HUD, LSSI, OSHA, NSPIRE/REAC, etc. related training.
- Comprehend and follow instructions, perform assigned tasks, maintain an appropriate work pace, perform complex and/or varied tasks, relate to others, make decisions, direct/control plan work, communicate in writing and verbally.
- Valid Driver’s License in good standing. Access to an insured vehicle with required and valid IL statutory minimum insurance coverage.
