What You Will Do:
We are seeking a skilled Senior Deskside Services Technician to join our team. This role will involve collaborating with the Deskside Services team to address technical issues and ensure a seamless and cutting-edge technology environment. The ideal candidate will be capable of providing mentorship and guidance to our team. They will also be instrumental in setting up and repairing technology within the firm, with a focus on troubleshooting laptops, printers, scanners, phones, and related hardware. Additionally, this role will provide support for conferences, events, and meetings, utilizing Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone, and advanced AV technology.
- Serve as an escalation point for Level 1 support technicians.
- Provide technical mentoring and guidance to Level 1 support technicians.
- Report any support gaps or inefficiencies to the Manager of User Experience.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software issues on Microsoft Surface laptops.
- Deploy and set up IT equipment such as PCs, printers, and telephones.
- Demonstrate expertise in Zoom Rooms, Zoom Phone, and AV troubleshooting.
- Establish and manage video conferencing sessions, including Zoom meetings and Zoom Rooms.
- Provide audio/video support during events, meetings, and conferences, ensuring high-quality presentations and interactions.
- Assist with office moves by managing the relocation of IT equipment.
- Maintain an organized inventory of hardware and parts.
- Collaborate with the Help Desk and technical staff to identify and resolve desktop environment issues.
- Track the status of issues and repairs, maintaining clear communication with users.
- Offer training and assistance to staff on audio/video technology and usage.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while fostering a cooperative environment with legal staff, peers, and administrators.
- Adapt to changes in the workplace and integrate new technologies into daily operations.
- Availability for additional hours to support events as needed.
- Two-year degree from a college or technical school or equivalent job-related experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of Windows 11 and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Experience and understanding of the Zoom platform, including Zoom Meetings, Zoom Phone, Zoom Rooms, and other Zoom modules.
- Proficient understanding of audio/video conferencing technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on diagnosing hardware and software issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong relationship-building skills with all levels of the organization.
- Capable of performing under pressure while providing confident technological support.
- Professional representation of the firm in various situations, interacting effectively with staff and external resources.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
- Reliable attendance record and punctuality.
- Adherence to all firm policies and procedures.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday in-office presence, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Amount of Travel Required: Requires up to 50% travel between the Palo Alto, San Francisco, and Utah offices. Ability to occasionally travel to other office locations as necessary, including New York, New Jersey, and Washington D.C.
The expected salary range for candidates meeting the requirements of this position is $100,000 to $115,000. The range provided is the salary that Lowenstein Sandler in good faith believes at the time of this posting that it is willing to pay for the advertised position. Exact compensation will be determined based on individual candidate qualifications and location.
