Do you fit the part?


  • 5+ years of previous accounting experience
  • Experience supervising or managing a team
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Accounting or Business
  • Canadian CPA designation required
  • Strong mentoring, coaching, and people management skills
  • Experience in retail or other high transaction volume environments
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Experience with Microsoft D365 an asset


  • Lead a team of five responsible for accounting for store operations and reconciliations
  • Provide guidance, coaching and training to direct reports
  • Support continuous improvement of processes while leveraging technology and tools
  • Maintain strong internal controls and leverage best practices to recommend improvements
  • Investigate cash shortages and overages from retail locations
  • Report summaries of performance and issues by store and region to senior management
  • Oversee many reconciliations including bank recs, fuel recs as well as clearing account recs
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close and associated working papers
  • Lead special projects as required
