RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Minor plumbing repairs and renovations (repairing/replacing toilets, sinks, etc.)
  • Drywall, mudding, taping, and painting
  • Installing vinyl plank flooring and VCT
  • Carpentry repairs and installation
  • Visiting stores to perform maintenance inspections
  • Answering to maintenance calls to troubleshoot and assess maintenance needs
  • Other maintenance tasks as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Plumbing, Electrical, Framing and other trades experience considered an asset
  • Experience with general building maintenance
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
  • Ability to work with others effectively
  • Ability to work well and stay on task with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work in a retail environment; be respectful and polite to staff and customers
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, even as priorities change and emergencies intervene
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Willing to travel out of town for up to two weeks at a time
  • Valid BC Driver’s License
