  • Preparing reports and forecasts for senior management
  • Overseeing payroll procedures
  • Ensuring compliance with all compensation and tax regulations
  • Reviewing timesheets and attendance records and correcting inaccuracies
  • Preparing and submitting all necessary paperwork for tax deductions, benefits, and garnishments
  • Analyzing compensation related data including wages and bonuses
  • Designing, documenting, and implementing procedures to streamline payroll processes
  • Managing payment calendars for the fiscal year
  • Reporting to management on payroll issues and changes
  • Staying up to date on payroll and tax laws
  • Assisting with the year end processes including the preparation of T4s
  • Maintaining payroll files and records
  • Answering payroll inquiries from staff related to earnings, deductions, taxable benefits, salary, vacation, and sick leave
  • Assisting payroll representatives with payroll as required


  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role
  • Certificate, Diploma or Degree relevant to payroll
  • Extensive experience using ADP Systems, specifically ADP Workforce Now NA
  • Overall strong payroll system experience
  • Experience with creating payroll reports with an analyst mindset
  • Experience implementing/changing payroll systems.
  • PCP certificate is required.
  • Experience in payroll within a retail environment.
  • Knowledge of payroll best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of employment standards act.
