What You’ll Do & Learn:

The Junior Product Manager role is an entry-level, developmental, part-time (2-3 days per week) role, with the potential for full-time for the right candidate. This position is designed to provide hands on training with exposure to all aspects of product management. Working closely with the Division Manager, the successful candidate will learn some or all of the following; category management, supplier relations, inventory planning, pricing strategies, sales analysis, and product marketing. This role is ideal for an individual with strong analytical skills, a desire to learn the automotive aftermarket business, and an interest in developing a career in Product Management.

Product & Category Support:

  • Assist Division Manager with managing assigned product lines and brands.
  • Learn category management principles, including assortment planning and product lifecycle management.
  • Help maintain product information, supplier data, and catalog accuracy.
  • Assist with identifying potential product opportunities and market gaps.

Supplier & Vendor Administration:

  • Support supplier communication and follow-up activities.
  • Assist in gathering information for supplier evaluations and business reviews.
  • Learn vendor onboarding processes and company supplier requirements.
  • Maintain supplier contact information and documentation.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Prepare and analyze sales, inventory, and profitability reports.
  • Assist with monitoring product performance and identifying trends.
  • Support development of Power BI dashboards and Excel-based analysis.
  • Help identify lost sales opportunities and inventory issues.

Pricing & Promotions:

  • Assist in compiling information for promotional programs.
  • Support pricing reviews and competitor analysis activities.
  • Coordinate supplier promotional materials and supporting documentation.

Inventory & Operations Support:

  • Work with Inventory Control to understand replenishment strategies.
  • Assist with product setups, updates, and inventory planning projects.
  • Support our Distribution Centre and store-related product initiatives.

Training & Communication:

  • Participate in product training sessions and supplier meetings.
  • Assist with development of training materials, product summaries, and sales communications.
  • Communicate product updates and findings to Product Managers and the Import Division Manager.

Do You Fit the Part?

  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Intermediate Excel skills; aptitude for data analysis.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative.

This role is intended as a developmental position with the goal of potentially progressing into a full-time Product Manager role as knowledge, skills, and business understanding are developed.
