Location: Kelowna, BC

Reporting to the Fulfilment Supervisor, the Quick Pick Lead is responsible for the accurate and efficient picking of Quick Pick Orders. This position will support and lead the workers to ensure all Special Orders are completed and ready to ship within 15 minutes of ordering.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure pickers are supported and properly trained to pick store replenishment orders efficiently and accurately in the suggested timeframe.
- Train new employees and have a succession plan. Foster a collaborative team environment.
- Manage staff schedules and rotations to ensure adequate Quick Picks break coverage, including planning for peak periods and staff absences.
- Contribute to the development of training materials and standard operating procedures to help standardize and improve picking practices.
- Conduct daily pre-shift meetings with the team members in your area and the Picking Supervisor – Days to discuss daily goals, review any updates or changes in procedures, and address any concerns or questions.
- Report total units picked and average lines per hour each day and encourage the team to address inefficient setups or processes.
- Assess and optimize the allocation of resources, including personnel and equipment, to meet daily targets more efficiently.
- Act as a liaison between the picking team and other departments, such as inventory management or shipping ensure smooth interdepartmental workflows.
- Ensure any Dangerous goods Paperwork and labelling are completed when shipping products.
- Submit Weekly and monthly reports to the Assistant Warehouse Manager by Monday and the Friday following each month end. Which would include department stats, goal updates, challenges, successes and staffing updates.
- Ensure the team has enough empty grey totes to pick into.
- Once an hour, do a walk of their assigned area to ensure the team is productive and answer any questions they may have. Regularly check the accuracy and quality of items picked. This could include spot checks and random audits.

- Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse operations and team efficiency.
- Take an active role in managing and resolving any spill incidents in the warehouse. This involves leading or assisting in containment and mitigation efforts to ensure a swift and effective response.
