Position: Marketing Coordinator (1 Year Contract) 

 
Reporting to the Content Marketing Manager, the role’s primary focus is to help manage the coordination of communication materials to stores/facilities to build Guest and Team Member engagement. The role assists with the creation, delivery and execution of marketing initiatives, including the Longo’s Experience Magazine, Misc Web content and public relations initiatives. In addition, the role plays a critical role in the coordination and management of department administration including budgets, meetings and project coordination. The coordinator is a strong team player with exceptional communication skills who can manage multiple priorities with a strong attention to detail.  

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with magazine project plan and execution of the Experience Magazine photography shoot including and but not limited to communication with internal and external stakeholders, product delivery and approval management
  • Assist with public relations media requests, coordinating media drops, proofing & coordination of PR events and budgets with agency
  • Coordination & day-to-day contact with corporate partnerships (DFO, Calabria etc). Ensuring contractual obligations related to marketing support are executed.
  • Lead both seasonal magazine content updates & adHoc updates to related marketing pages for Longos.com
  • Assist with on-going budget tracking, accruals and coding of all invoices for content & advertising team
  • Department administration including meetings, event & communications coordination
  • Manage inbound requests from internal and external partners
  • Ensure project deliverables are met and satisfy business requirements
  • Work with Internal and External Partners –Merchandising team, Store management/operations, and agency partners
  • Manage communication between vendors, merchandising, operations and marketing related to projects
  • Perform other duties as required

What we are looking for:

  • Post-secondary degree in advertising, business, communications or related field
  • 2-3 or more years of relevant experience, ideally in a retail environment
  • Self-motivated, organized, strong attention to detail and able to multi-task and prioritize jobs to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of creative and print processes, in-store operations and brand strategy
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and practices across multiple departments
  • Strong project management and relationship management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills – Office suite, MAC and familiar with graphic software such as Adobe Illustrator, Smart-Edit
  • Strong planning, budget and operations skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to produce high quality results in a deadline driven environment
  • Acts within the spirit and intent of Longo’s core values, maintains subject matter expertise, and demonstrate knowledge of Longos’ business.
  • Valid G driver’s licence

Work Environment:

  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with participation in meetings and conference calls
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities
  • Travel to various stores in the GTA required
  • Work conditions include occasional periods of moderate physical effort
