Position: Logistics Administrator

Job Overview:

This position achieves the Genuine Merchant Strategy by ensuring timely and cost- effective scheduling of inbound shipments, arranging vendor pickups. Effectively communicating and handling all inbound and store inquiries in a timely manner.

Accountabilities:

Receiving:

Prioritize and balance workload to achieve inbound operational goals
Maintain inbound shipments on appointments dashboard, 
Maintain regular communication with vendors and/or carrier, supply chain, and merch team as needed to resolve any issues.
Create and update vendor infractions as reported by receiving team
Ensure that shipments are received according to open purchase orders or alternate verification methods as appropriate.
Ensure all inbound POs are closed/accounted for. 
Work with DC support to investigate and resolve, validate any discrepancies and report to vendor on a timely basis.

Date Entry:

Update assigned trackers and files in a timely manner
Support with administrative data entry as needed in all areas of DC

Customer Service:

Consistently demonstrates Genuine Merchant Customer Service and holds himself/herself and team members accountable for the following:

Ensures positive customer service relations with a variety of internal and external customers such as: Managers, Supervisors, Distribution Centre Team Members, 3PL Drivers and external vendors

Polices and Standard Operating Procedures:

Follow all policies and procedures including:

Standard Operating Procedures
Health and Safety 
Food Safety 
Loss Prevention
Human Resource Policies

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

1 –2 years of inbound logistics experience is preferred and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction is essential.
Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
Excellent organization, planning, and communication skill
Innovative problem solving and sound decision making abilities
Strong computer skills required, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
Acts with a sense of urgency and self-direction within established guidelines
Knowledge of common business practices relating to purchase, pricing, shipments, etc.
Experience in the retail food industry is highly desirable

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in person in a standard warehouse environment with participation in meetings at the office. 
Travel to various Warehouse locations as required
Ability to work a variety of shifts including - evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs require
