Position:             Distribution Centre Support Administrator (6 Month Contract)

 

Job Overview:

 

This position achieves the Genuine Merchant Strategy by functioning with minimal supervision to ensure execution of daily tasks including reporting, data entry, internal and external customer service, and inventory control related work. Provide support for stores as well as all departments in the DC and the Support Centre as needed. Support company initiatives and programs. Builds positive relationships with team members.

 

Accountabilities:

 

Reporting/Data Entry

  • Update reports in a timely manner with data from various sources.
  • Investigate inconsistencies in data and follow up with other departments to resolve issues.
  • Create new KPI/Performance/Audit reports as needed based on requirements from Managers and Supervisors
  • Complete invoice data entry and support with approval process 
  • Maintaining, filing, tracking and auditing of daily driver time sheets
  • Support with administrative data entry as needed in all areas of DC
  • Prioritize and balance workload to achieve timelines

 

Customer Service 

  • Respond to store inquiries within set timeframes. 
  • Work with other departments in DC to investigate issues reported by stores.
  • Escalate urgent requests from stores, vendors, and other departments in Support Center and DC to leadership team

WMS

  • Launch store orders
  • Investigate and resolve flow distribution issues 
  • Support with other assigned tasks as needed 

 

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:

  • 1 –2 years of administrative experience in a distribution center/supply chain environment is preferred and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction is essential.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems
  • Excellent organization, planning, and communication skill
  • Innovative problem solving and sound decision making abilities
  • Strong computer skills required, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel. 
  • Acts with a sense of urgency and self-direction within established guidelines
  • Knowledge of common business practices relating to purchase, pricing, shipments, etc.
  • Experience in the retail food industry is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Ability to support multiple projects, work under pressure, and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
  • Keen commitment for providing superior customer service

 

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in person in a standard warehouse environment with participation in meetings at the office. 
  • Travel to various Warehouse locations as required
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including - evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs require
