Position:              Total Rewards Specialist   
    
Job Overview:   
   
The Total Rewards Specialist provides operational and analytical support to the Total Rewards team. The Specialist will work with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Third-Party Vendors as subject matter expert on all elements of benefits, compensation, disability & recognition programs and assist the team in other miscellaneous projects as required.   
  
Accountabilities:    
  
Benefits Management    
  • Program Administration
  • Provide day to day guidance, and support to HR partners and key internal stakeholders on Benefits related queries
  • Develop and maintain Service Level Agreements/vendor contracts, documentation, relevant policies and guidelines
  • Manage benefit data related to Total Rewards
  • billing from vendors, invoicing, internal data audits
  • Benefits System Support
  • Lead testing of HRIS updates/changes for benefits during Annual Open Enrollment
   
Absence Management    
  • Manages leave of absence program, coordinating with Third-Party leave administrators/insurers, Payroll, Team Members, HR partners, and managers/leaders
  • SME for Third-Party vendor and HR partners, as required on return-to-work accommodations or restrictions
  • Educates HR Partners, managers/leaders & Team Members with respect to the leave of absence program and processes for Medical LOA, STD and LTD
   
Reporting/Auditing    
  • Provide in-depth and timely analysis and reporting on Total Reward Programs as needed. Identify trends, and provide corresponding recommendations
  • Reconcile and submit monthly remittances for group benefit providers in accordance with applicable policy provisions; partner with finance to explain any discrepancies and answer questions
  • Conduct benefit review and make appropriate changes
  • Manage communication for changes to Total Rewards program for all Team Members
   
Recognition   
  • Responsible for resolving operational queries  and escalating to vendor
  • Implementation lead for systems
  • Day to Day SME on the platform, program, and support, assist in configuration , testing and on-going upgrades
  • Manage program budgets and reallocation of budgets to people managers to reflect correct org hierarchy and employee movements
  • Monitor program stability (TM data/updates, etc.) interface with Dayforce
  • Reporting as required
Compensation Activities   
  • Prepare and analyze compensation related reports and summaries
  • Support with job evaluation
  • Support annual merit cycle and bonus payout 
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:   
  • University degree/diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration
  • Minimum 3-5 yrs. of HR experience with an emphasis on employee benefits, retirement savings, HRIS i.e. Dayforce Ceridian
  • Excellent knowledge of general HR practices including retirement and benefits legislation, principles, and best practices
  • Advance proficiency in Microsoft Office programs as well as web-based applications
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent follow-up/attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a retail environment is an asset
  • Self-starter with an enthusiastic, creative and collaborative approach
  • CHRP/CEBS Designation preferred
   
Working Conditions:   
  • Work is performed in a standard office environment with participation in meetings
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with regular deadlines
  • Travel to stores and warehouse locations for education/training purposed is required
