Position:         Receiving Manager

Reports to:  Store Manager

 

This is your opportunity to advance your career in a leadership role.  As the Receiving Manager, you will manage the Receiving department to ensure that all departments are prepared for daily operations.

 

What you’ll do:

- Hire, motivate and mentor Team Members

- Lead, coach and train Team Members to maintain the highest level of productivity and engagement

- Resolve Team Member and customer issues as they arise

- Be committed to maintaining merchandising and operational standards

- Uphold company policies and procedures including health & safety, food safety and loss prevention and hold your team accountable to maintain set standards

- Merchandise, manage inventory, schedule and be accountable for financial objectives

- Implement initiatives that support company objectives

- Monitor local competitors and react to local market conditions

- Provide exceptional customer service to all Team Members, Customers and Vendors

 

What we are looking for:

- Post secondary education and a minimum of 2 years of food retail experience

- 1-2 years supervisory/leadership experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

- Certified Forklift Operator and certified trainer

- Knowledge of Employment Standards, WHMIS, Food Safety and Loss Prevention practices

- Knowledge of temperature control

- Radio Frequency gun knowledge

- Ability to verbally communicate with customers and staff to understand what is wanted and expected from them. Enhancing relationships with customers through verbal interaction

- Strong organization and tactical planning skills

- Strong initiative ability, excellent work ethic and a sense of urgency

- Ability to work in a high paced time constrained environment

- Strong sense of ownership, drive and enthusiasm

- Strong leadership, motivation, coaching, development and mentoring skills

- Ability to adapt quickly to new situations, as well as new and changing processes, programs and services

 

Work Environment:

- Work is performed in a store retail environment

- Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends

- Travel is required to support off-site events
