Material Handling Supervisor

Position Purpose
The Material Handler Supervisor is an experienced member of the Warehouse Team that provides all equipment and supplies to controls installation personnel from the warehouse, supply houses, and job stock. They develop and standardize procedures within the warehouse, are knowledgeable of warehouse compliance regulations, and receive all devices ordered for projects. They are responsible for the dispatch of trucks and the delivery of the requested materials to jobsites in a timely fashion. The Material Handling Supervisor strives to avoid shortages of material and maintains good relationships with PM’s, field crew and product suppliers.
Compensation Range: $25.00 - $38.00 per hr. plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
• Manage receipts and monitor incoming equipment for B.I. projects at designated job stock locations.
• Oversee the movement of tools, ladders, and gang boxes.
• Ensure delivery tickets are completed for all goods and materials leaving the warehouse for job sites.
• Supervise delivery drivers, material handlers, and the daily schedule.
• Provide support to the business manager, construction manager, and the B.I. team.
• Review project bill of materials from purchasing and available stock in the shop inventory.
• Dispatch delivery trucks and verify that they are loaded securely.
• Coordinate with B.I. project managers to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Handle calls and requests for installation materials from field personnel, transfer on-hand stock, and place orders for the remaining materials from local supply houses.
• Manage fleet vehicle maintenance, keep spare parts available, and assign vehicles as needed during servicing; handle the return of surplus or defective equipment and follow up to secure factory credits.
• Operate a forklift as necessary, coordinate forklift repair and maintenance.
• Equip all new vehicles with safety gear and LONG standard equipment.
• Manage returns, warranty and manufacture RMAs.
• Generate purchase order numbers for supply houses and order essential parts to support BI construction.
• Inspect incoming shipments for damage or shortages and communicate with the shipper to resolve issues, and complete necessary paperwork for documentation.
• Supervise method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates; prepare materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping; prepare necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of prior warehouse environment experience.
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Skilled in forklift operation.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Computer literacy.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills, maintaining professionalism and a positive attitude under pressure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with customers and internal teams.

Physical Requirements
• This position may involve standing for extended periods and working in tight spaces.
• This position may require lifting to 75 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
• This position may require climbing ladders and the ability to function at heights.
