Business Manager
Description
Position Purpose
The Business Manager provides support within the Building Intelligence, Mechanical Services, and Security Solutions business units, working closely with Sales, PMs, equipment requests and purchases, as well as invoices and files. This position will provide data entry and tracking functions within various systems and serve as a liaison between the business unit, dispatch and accounting.
Pay Range: $95,000 - $120,000 plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage dispatch, Project Administrator, and Warehouse teams.
- Manage, implement, and enforce, metrics for Service Management and Project Administration.
- Maintain proper communication with the field, sales, and management personnel.
- Provide training and guidance to others on company systems, policies, and procedures.
- Verify all service work orders are completed and closed on a regular basis.
- Confirm that all service agreements are scheduled through the dispatcher in the months that they are due and provides a report at the end of each month of agreement work pending, not complete and completed.
- Provide suggestions to the service and operations managers concerning workflow and efficiency enhancements.
- Facility management of LONG properties in Washington State.
- Monthly progress billings for projects.
- Assist in monthly accounting software financial adjustments for projects.
- Ensure that job tax schedules and certified payroll rates are correct and updated as necessary.
- Issue subcontracts as required and review/approve their invoices.
- Oversee purchasing and tracking of equipment and parts for services and projects.
- Establish and maintain cordial and functional relationships with factories and suppliers.
- Collect stock transfers from inventory and input to the accounting job cost system.
- Provide general administrative support for the branch.
- Provide technical and operational support, expertise, leadership, and accountability for the back-end support team.
- Stand in for support team members in their absence.
- Manage and advise on hiring, training, development, allocation, and performance assessment of personnel within areas of responsibility.
- Mange current processes and procedures, while keeping the strategy and high-level goals of the company in mind.
- The ability to anticipate potential blockers and bring recommendations to the Vice President.
- Organize and manage regular internal company events and community outreach.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 2-year business degree and 7 plus years related work experience preferred including technical commercial building services or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer literacy with specific experience using MS Office Products – Outlook, Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret financial statements and reports.
- Ability to work with commercial new construction, retrofit, and service contracts.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
- Possess good organizational and planning skills.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
- Routine sitting, lifting, bending, and kneeling.
