Description
Position Purpose
As a Panel Builder, you will build the temperature control panels that connect to the customer’s HVAC equipment. The Panel Fabricator will obtain the panel components, assemble them according to the building specifications and engineer drawings.
Compensation Range: $20 to $27 plus potential profit share.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Wear necessary personal protective equipment, know how to safely operate all power tools, hand tools, and instruments necessary for job completion, and perform all duties described below in accordance with company and OSHA guidelines and be knowledgeable in said guidelines.
• Be familiar with panel installation material and control devices and their proper mounting and installation requirements.
• Responsible for anticipating panel parts and material needs, recording material and panel parts usage and material transfer.
• Charge job costs accurately and make orders appropriately to ensure proper and timely completion of the panels.
• Work with Engineering Department and Project Managers to ensure both the control panel and blueprints are accurate, adjusting control panels for cost efficiency and documenting the changes.
• Include accurate “As Built” drawings with all outgoing panels according to the control drawings, job specifications and applicable building codes.
• Ensure panel component, (D.D.C. and Pneumatic) security and proper storage.
• Maintain correct inventory of panel shop supplies and reorders, as necessary.
• Maintain the panel build queue in MS Excel
• Perform all work consistently in a quality manner.
• Maintain and secure the panel fabrication department tools.
• Assist the warehouse personnel during times of need.
• Work as a field installer during slow production periods in the panel fabrication dept.
• Be punctual, courteous, professional always.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Adequate blueprint reading skills.
• Ability to transfer drawn documentation into neat and correctly wired control panel as shown per the drawings.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work without continual supervision.
• Mechanical aptitude

Physical Requirements
• This position may require lifting to 50 - 75 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
• This position involves climbing ladders and requires the ability to function at heights.
Environment
• Panel fabrication takes place in our panel fabrication shop (indoors) in a temperature-controlled environment.
Hazards
• Inclement weather possible
• Construction hazards in general
