Software Project Manager - Challonge

Project Management - Indianapolis or remote US

The Challonge team at Logitech is looking for a Software Project Manager to help organize and facilitate its development efforts.

Challonge is a competition management website that helps organizers streamline registration, progression, and record keeping. Founded in 2009, Challonge offers more than 25 competition types as both a web-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform and an API that can be integrated into websites, games, bots, and other software applications.

The ideal candidate is highly organized and comfortable collaborating with a wide range of audiences, including product owners, external clients, and other business units within Logitech. Outside of the assigned duties of this role, someone who is self-motivated and adaptable will thrive and have the opportunity to grow into adjacent areas of interest. Being a small team within a large corporation, Challonge offers a unique blend of small and large business aspects.

In this role you will:

  • Work closely with Challonge’s Indianapolis-based product manager to define and schedule projects

  • Collaborate with Challonge’s Manila-based team to define and document feature specifications using a process similar to Basecamp’s Shape Up approach (basecamp.com/shapeup)

  • Create development timelines and assist the product team with task prioritization

  • Assist with maintaining a quarterly development roadmap

  • Stay attuned to project statuses and identify risks quickly

  • Facilitate post-delivery tasks for projects to ensure success metrics are tracked

  • Lead planning meetings

  • Help triage bug reports, security issues, and unexpected enhancements that have full product team acceptance

  • Communicate product schedule to the marketing team to align efforts
     

Key qualifications:

  • 3+ years of software project management experience

  • Effective communication skills and assertiveness

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Understanding of various software development processes

  • Experience writing project scope of work documents

  • Experience working with a remote team

  • Effective use of various cloud-based applications for planning and documenting (e.g. Google Suite, Notion, issue tracking, and product management tools like Productboard)

  • If living outside Indianapolis, the ability to travel to Indianapolis for quarterly planning
