The Role:

Reporting to the Cluster Head ZASA, the successful candidate will be responsible to lead a select range of Logitech product categories (Webcams, Headsets, Tablet Keyboards & Tablet Accessories & Microphones) to achieve commercial and profitability targets for the ZASA Cluster (South Africa & Southern Africa).

The Category Manager (Personal Workspace) has the responsibilities of driving category strategies, identify opportunities, manage the product Lifecyle and lead commercial planning across the Emerging Markets.

  • Be accountable for the performance of the selected Logitech product categories to achieve regional revenue, profitability targets and strategic objectives for the South and Southern Africa Cluster.

  • Translate Global category strategies into local plans, driving local execution across the diverse group of countries within the Southern African Region and South Africa.

  • Partner with the Global Commercial Organization and act as the primary point of contact for South and Southern Africa business for the select categories.

  • Act as business partner for all commercial aspects including market performance analysis, strategy development & presentation, identification of new opportunities, business performance and channel extension.

  • Analyse commercial insights and performance data to provide direction and guidance to South and Southern Africa countries to support in achieving category objectives.

  • Align strategies, campaigns, execution, and performance KPIs with key stakeholders across the ZASA Markets including the Country Head and Marketing Managers.

  • Lead NPI planning and product launches for select categories.

  • Partner with Emerging Markets Regional Marketing to facilitate the execution of key strategies.

  • Use market insights from country organization to translate global marketing strategies into regional tactics that engage consumers and shoppers across all relevant marketing channels.

  • Drive in-country collaboration between Sales & Marketing, share best practice and modify successful activities for execution from other countries, channels or customers.

  • Proactively assess, clarify and identify South Africa and Southern Africa Markets consumer needs and to communicate these to the relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Be a brand ambassador for the select categories within the South African and Southern African Markets.

Your Skills:

For consideration, you must bring the following skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Proven experience in category or product management with a track record in key consumer brands or consumer electronics.

  • Be highly analytical, structured and be a solution-oriented person.

  • Have strong experience in engaging remotely with teams across multiple countries and in multiple markets.

  • Possess a good understanding of Emerging Markets and their unique needs.

  • Have excellent presentation and communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with strength in communicating across different cultures.

  • Strong financial and commercial acumen.

  • Advanced Excel Skills.
