Position at Logitech

The VAT Senior advisor will work within a VAT dedicated team located in Cork and will report into the EMEA Senior Tax Manager located in Lausanne.

This position will be based in Cork.

The VAT Senior Advisor will be in charge of the VAT compliance and reporting for EMEA countries. They will support the EMEA VAT Manager with VAT audits and projects.


They will closely work with the EMEA corporate tax team, Accounting, IT functions and may interact with customers if needed.

In this role you will, for a set of companies/countries:

  • Prepare/review VAT returns (monthly, quarterly, bi-monthly VAT returns, VIES & Intrastat returns),

  • File VAT returns and ensure payment is made,

  • Manage and review VAT reclaims,

  • Reconcile VAT accounts on a monthly basis,

  • Actively identify, manage and mitigate any potential VAT risks,

  • Review historic compliance data and process, report findings and propose enhancements,

  • Validate VAT details of new customers,

  • Provide VAT advice to the business,

  • Help the VAT manager with VAT audits queries and with projects, and

  • Monitor VAT legislation.


 

Qualification
For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Relevant degree in Accounting or Finance with min 3/4 years VAT experience covering multiple countries,

  • Solid understanding of indirect tax accounting in the general ledger and financial statements, US accounting knowledge a plus,

  • Proficiency with Oracle (with EBTax a plus), Avalara, Microsoft Office and OneStream,

  • A self-starter who can work independently in a fast-paced environment,

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop trusted and sustained relationships across geographic distance and diverse cultures,

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail, and

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
