The Role:

The Sustainability Brand & Marketing Specialist, will own brand management, governance and execution of marketing plans for brand initiatives within sustainability, social impact, and other corporate-level areas. The specialist will act as a strategic partner to a broad cross-functional team, including brand management and programs, sustainability, community & advocacy, DE&I, communications, packaging, creative, production, and social teams. The ideal candidate has brand management and marketing communications experience and has led brand and campaign development projects within a large cross-functional team.

Responsible for development of appropriate corporate assets and iconography, style guides, toolkits, and governance to be implemented globally across our business groups and go to market teams as they relate to packaging, marketing, and social media of sustainability/social impact. Supports brand campaign initiatives that incorporate sustainability messaging. Includes creation of processes, brief writing, internal communication to teams. Serves as a brand expert, champion, and coach to others.

  • Serves as the brand lead for corporate initiatives with Sustainability, DE&I, Community & Advocacy, CorpComms, People & Culture, Investor Relations, etc. Is a member of the Sustainability taskforce and partners directly and frequently with the head of brand management and sustainability communications.

  • Defines the corporate asset needs, writes the creative briefs for, and obtains the necessary budget to support corporate brand initiatives such as iconography/identifiers, videos, b-roll, photography, identifiers, badges, illustrations, presentations, etc. 

  • Develops and maintains sustainability/social impact brand style guides, resources, and templates for internal and external use as needed from a corporate context to support the organization. Understands the application of brand governance and principles for evaluating design options within a brand context.

  • Demonstrates sound judgment in assessing brand risks and making decisions that maintain the integrity of our core values and that uphold the larger brand & sustainability strategy.

  • Owns and drives corporate marketing campaigns from development of brief through delivery/launch of assets and execution. Partners across the organization as needed.

  • Develops, maintains, and communicates schedules across critical stakeholders while ensuring project schedules are met on time and with quality

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of assigned projects, including internal reviews, revisions, and final asset delivery to key stakeholders

  • Partners with production team or Agency partners, as appropriate, on monitoring usage rights and expiration dates of campaign assets, legal reviews, SOWs, etc.

  • Cultivates and develops lasting internal and external relationships

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills to our team:

  • Proven industry experience in brand and integrated marketing campaign management 

  • Experience communicating on sustainability and social impact required

  • A passionate interest in brand marketing and advertising with an eye for quality design

  • Must be able to effectively present information and respond to internal teams, clients, and management questions. Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Strategic thinker, able to form opinions and defend them. 

  • A quick learner, adaptable to new technologies.

  • Strong attention to detail.


  • Bachelor’s or master's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent industry experience
