Jaybird Account Manager

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with exceptional work ethic and account relationships to join our sales organization. Candidates should have proven sales experience / relationships, demonstrate ability to think strategically and strong business acumen to grow business while maintaining profitability.
This is a key role within the Jaybird Business Group focused on our Retail Partners including but not limited to Regional CE retailers, Military and Club Channel within the US Market. You will also work with Distributors to ensure forecast, POs and budgets are aligned to the assigned channel. Primary focus is to manage a channel P&L, growing profitable revenue, strategic account planning and leveraging relationships at all levels. Key strengths include strategic thinking, strong relationship skills, a sense of urgency, ability to multitask, presentation skills and analytics.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Accountability for hitting / exceeding revenue target, channel profitability objectives and channel KPIs
Develop a channel strategy plan by accounts including merchandising, promotions, events, and training activity
Closely manage multi level account relationships; Buyers, analyst, logistics and executive level
Work closely with Business Planning team on channel sell through, forecast, and on-hand inventory
Closely manage distributors and rep force
Identify key opportunities and new prospects
Prepare weekly recaps on channel and account updates, tracking towards revenue & profitability targets and competitive activity
Publish trade show, key events & account training calendar. Provide post mortem recaps for any activity.
Managing all content, collateral and pricing on all retail and dotcom properties
Building and managing a channel, to include:
Creating yearly and quarterly business plans to achieve targets. Reporting on progress against these plans weekly
Developing and executing Quarterly Business Reviews with customers and leadership
Developing sales incentives and activities to help drive appropriate results
Working cooperatively and harmoniously with the existing Jaybird marketing and product marketing teams – learning from and leveraging resources where appropriate.
Product, promotional, and expense forecasting and accrual
Able to develop in store & .com channel marketing strategies
Managing assortment, merchandising
Driving shelf share, print share, omni share, market share
Ownership of T&E, Samples and MDF budgets

The ability to work independently, while also appropriately leveraging expertise and resources within our organization
A quantifiable record of success in national retail channels with a demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales goals.
Minimum of 10 years of current national retail sales experience
Typical business skills to include:
Experience with solution-based approach to solving customer requirements and an understanding of complex sales cycles
Ability to build consensus throughout multiple levels of organizations, and be adept at developing relationships at all levels
Excellent verbal and written communication
