The Role:

The Sr. Audio DSP Engineer is responsible for the digital audio processing for a variety of advanced audio systems, primarily focused on Ultimate Ears branded loudspeakers. This includes algorithm development and real-time validation.

  • Develop new audio processing algorithms to advance

    • Sound quality

    • Voice

    • Smart functionality

  • Deliver real-time prototypes to demonstrate new algorithms and technologies

  • Take responsibility for planning, documentation, and coordination with the HW and FW teams during product development.


Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and behaviors to our team:

  • Experience developing and delivering audio processing algorithms from concept to finished product    

  • Digital Audio Filter Design

  • Nonlinear Audio Processing

  • CODEC and other Sound Quality Evaluation


  • Mentor to junior engineers


In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Real-time implementation with Max MSP

  • Knowledge of acoustical systems (transducers, enclosures, room acoustics)


  • BS (MS preferred) in EE, Physics, Acoustics, or similar field
