The Role:
A Radio Frequency Firmware Engineer is responsible for defining, implementing, and testing the new generation of radio protocols.

  • Specify, design, and implement RF firmware for upcoming productivity, gaming, and mobility products, including related platforms.

  • Develop and optimize RF sequencing and processing algorithms.

  • Collaborate with system engineers, RF silicon designers, and IC designers to define and optimize RF transceiver architecture for power efficiency.

  • Verify implemented firmware and investigate critical RF issues within a cross-functional hardware/firmware environment.

  • Validate your work by writing production code and automated tests.

  • Prototype and present your ideas.

  • Work with colleagues in a multi-site and multicultural setting, including the US, Switzerland, and Taiwan.

Key Qualifications:

For consideration, you must bring the following minimum skills and experiences to our team:

  • Proven experience in a firmware engineering role within product development,

  • Strong knowledge of Bluetooth and/or 2.4GHz ISM band,

  • Experience with USB,

  • Fluent in embedded firmware in C/C++ including test and debug,

  • Practically minded with strong problem-solving skills,

  • Strong technical documentation skills,

  • Fluent in spoken & written English.

In addition, preferable skills and behaviors include:

  • Experience in signal processing,

  • Knowledge of audio Codec,

  • Experience with Ultra Wide Band.

Education:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
