This position is located out of our Logitech office in Newark, CA. 

The ULRC (User Learning Research Centre) is part of the wider Consumer Insights function which operates within Logitech’s design group, driving the creation of new and innovative products from inception to launch. As an in-house insights team, we provide qualitative, quantitative and strategic support for our business partners. Within the insights department we have three functions: Insights & Analytics, Discovery Research, and the ULRC. The ULRC tests our new products, prototypes and software to ensure they meet or exceed user expectations and deliver the ultimate User Experience. The ULRC also advises the Global Quality Team with their User Testing and quality assurance. 

As a UX Researcher, you will guide, advise or carry out UX testing and will be comfortable with the design, execution, analysis, and reporting of mixed-methods user research studies. Proactively and in partnership with core stakeholders, you will identify, prioritize and conduct research that varies in approach, scale, scope, timeframe and methodology. You will collaborate with cross-functional teammates and external partners in shaping user experience research for the Logitech organization. 

Responsibilities:

  • Create and improve internal processes for conducting experience research

  • Train and mentor experience researchers and business groups on methods, moderation and research best practices

  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify, plan and execute product testing plans

  • Design user research studies to evaluate new and existing products

  • Conduct qualitative studies including observation, interviews & in-person user testing

  • Moderate user testing sessions for new products and software

  • Design quantitative studies, including survey writing and statistical analysis

  • Coordinate, conduct and monitor recruitment activities to ensure top notch respondents

  • Synthesize and communicate research findings to inform business and product decisions

  • Distill data into actionable insights for internal design and business teams

  • Collaborate closely with analysts, designers, product managers, and engineers to ensure insights are understood and implemented

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of user research experience and PUX testing

  • 3+ years of experience moderating user research sessions

  • Strong working knowledge of mixed methods, with an emphasis on both qualitative and quantitative research. And, a deep knowledge on when to apply each.

  • 3+ years experience with a wide range of qualitative research methodologies, including usability testing, heuristic evaluation, 1-to-1 interviews, contextual inquiry and card sorting

  • Proficiency with quantitative research - including different quant methodologies, survey writing expertise, and statistical analysis

  • Hands-on experience testing both hardware and software in an enterprise setting

  • Strong project management skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information creatively, concisely and effectively

  • Experience managing or mentoring others, whether in a professional, academic or nonprofit environment

  • Strong familiarity with PUX research tools: usability software, remote testing, etc. 

  • Degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Human Factors, Anthropology, Sociology, Design or a related field with a strong emphasis on social science or human research

  • Fluency in French or Chinese/Mandarin a plus but not a requirement
